At the heart of our rescue is a dedicated team of volunteers who give their time, energy, and love to help Great Pyrenees in need. Our board members are a passionate group of dog lovers—each bringing unique skills and boundless compassion to the mission. Though they come from different fields, they all share one thing in common: an unwavering commitment to giving these gentle giants a second chance at life, love, and a forever home.
Meet Our Team
Hi, I’m Amy. My husband and I brought home our first Great Pyrenees in 2017 to protect our livestock—but we quickly learned they do so much more. These gentle giants have not only guarded our sheep and goats, but they’ve also comforted us, surrounded newborn lambs with warmth, and shown a level of loyalty and intuition that still amazes me. Life on the ranch wouldn’t be the same without them. So many Great Pyrenees need a second chance, and we are excited for our venture to be able to help as many of these majestic animals as we can!

I had no idea what a Great Pyrenees was until I saw Amy’s enormous dogs running alongside my car—I genuinely thought they were polar bears! Since then, I’ve come to adore the breed through ChristyAnne’s Penny and my friend Joy’s Pyrenees, Larry. With five years of nonprofit accounting experience, I’m excited to support the mission of Pyrenees Keepers and help these gentle giants find the love they deserve.
